As a lawyer holding a Master’s in Business Law and a Master’s in African Cyberspace Law from Gaston Berger University in Saint-Louis, I began my professional experience in October 2008 as a procedural monitoring intern at a law firm before transitioning to Reception, Counseling, and Guidance at the Justice Information Office.
Experienced in drafting legal texts and negotiating mining contracts, I have been employed by the Ministry of Mines and Geology since 2014.
From the position of Coordinator of the Legal Affairs Unit of the Ministry to that of Director of Regulation, Mining Production, and Statistics, I have undergone training during my career, particularly in negotiation and drafting techniques for mining contracts, conflict management and prevention, and socio-environmental issues related to mining activities. I have also participated in the revision process of the Senegalese mining code, that of the UEMOA, as well as in the development of the ECOWAS model law on mining exploitation and mineral resources development.
