Geraud Moussarie founded Sustainable Partnerships Ltd., building a track record of developing transparent and mutually beneficial projects with international investors, governments, institutions, NGOs, media, and communities
Previously, as Head of Country for Rio Tinto Guinea, he led the early in-country development of the major Simandou Green Iron Ore Project, one of the largest and richest undeveloped mines in Africa. With over 18 billion dollars of investment, a 650 km rail corridor, and a port, the project represents an opportunity to transform the local economy and create long-term value for all stakeholders.
Before this, Geraud Moussarie managed the in-country development of Grand Tortue Ahmeyim, a major offshore gas discovery straddling the maritime border of Senegal and Mauritania for the operator, BP. Additionally, the other offshore gas field, Yakkar Teranga, still represents an opportunity to grow a domestic gas value chain in Senegal. He worked with key stakeholders to anticipate the impact on the broader economy.
Geraud Moussarie originally graduated with a Business Administration degree and qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant before working in project planning, operations, investment appraisal, strategic leadership, and general management in Azerbaijan and North Africa, developing energy assets. Passionate about fair and inclusive economic development, he enjoys engaging with other businesses through a dynamic international network.
