Dr. H. Théveniaut, geologist and geophysicist in paleomagnetism joined the French geological survey (BRGM) in 1995. He has been responsible of geological mapping programs in French Guiana, Ghana and Senegal with geological and geophysical contributions in other projects in Australia, Angola, Guinea, Turkey and Madagascar. His research focused on Precambrian paleogeography and on regolith dating in French Guiana, Suriname, France and Africa. Since 2016, he moved to the International Division to handle BRGM’s activities in West and Central Africa where geology and mineral resources are the main expected contribution of BRGM along with data management, hydrogeology and natural hazards.
