Isabelle Magne works at the European Commission in the thematic unit of Trade, Investment Climate, Entrepreneurship, and Value Chains, where she serves as a sector leader responsible for value chains, particularly critical raw materials. She joined the Africa Directorate of the Directorate-General for International Partnerships (INTPA) in December 2019, following her tenure as a member of the cabinet of Commissioner for Trade, Cecilia Malmström. After several years in the French administration stationed in Paris (Directorate-General of the Treasury), in Turkey (deputy head of the economic service at the Embassy of France), and then at the Permanent Representation of France to the European Union, she moved to the European External Action Service (EEAS) in the Global and Economic Issues department before joining the European Commission.
She holds a degree from the Institute of Political Studies in Aix-En-Provence and a master’s degree in economics.
