Olivier Bustin is an energy and infrastructure projects partner based at Pinsent Masons Paris office. Alongside a strong network of local partners, Olivier advises multinational corporate clients, primarily in the energy and natural resources sector in Francophone Africa. His practice focuses on negotiation of oil & gas or mining contracts and service agreements, public-private partnerships, and on structuring and implementing infrastructure projects, which includes advising on complex regulatory issues (e.g., foreign exchange, local content, environment, AML). Over the years, Olivier has been equally involved in strategic and risk advisory purposes by private investors facing commercial disputes within the OHADA jurisdictions. Olivier holds a Ph.D. and has been a visiting lecturer in OHADA Laws at Universities of Paris Pantheon-Assas and Sorbonne Paris Nord for almost ten years. He is regularly invited as speaker for international workshops and seminars, in Africa, Continental Europe and the UK. Olivier has been ranked for several years in Chambers Global (Democratic Republic of Congo and Congo Brazzaville) and Best Lawyers (Project Finance and Development).
