Responsable HSE & Performance Sociale, Perseus Mining Yaouré, Côte d’Ivoire

Pascal Ettien Anokan has more than 15 years’ experience in mining activities in the area of west africa as I got opportunity to work in Cote d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso and Senegal. Actually, I am the HSE & Social Performance Manager for Perseus Mining on Yaoure Gold Mine. Before joining Perseus, I was HSE & Social Performance Manager for Resolute Mining in Senegal and HSE Manager for Endeavour Mining in Cote d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso. Since August 2022, Pascal Ettien is the president of the HSE commission of the Ivorian chamber of mines as well as President of the mining sector coordination of safety committees.

Pascal got the opportunity to act as principal consultant during conferences organized by universities or institutions in Cote d’Ivoire and at international levels (West Africa, Canada, USA, Paris, South Africa) to promote the socio-economical, governance, security, health, medical, environmental, biodiversity and community aspect’s management in mining operation for the sustainable development.

Pascal got a master’s degree in Biochemistry & Microbiology at the University of Cocody Abidjan, a master’s degree in Environmental Evaluation and Project Management at ESA Anger in France and a Diploma in Risk and Business Management at York University in Toronto Canada. Since December 2022, Pascal Ettien has been registered to prepare his PhD in Mining progressive rehabilitation and closure at the Polytechnic Institute of Yamoussoukro in Cote d’Ivoire.
