OULEYMAN ELI GUIHINIMI, born on April 17, 1983, in Chad, has had a diverse career in the field of geology and mining. With his childhood spent in Chad and his educational journey including primary and secondary schooling in Ndjamena followed by university studies in Tunisia, he brings a wealth of experience to his professional roles. Graduating with a Master of Research in Biology and Ecophysiology of Plant Organisms from the Faculty of Sciences of Sfax, Tunisia, and holding a Bachelor’s degree in Geology and Biology from the same institution, he entered the civil service on February 25, 2008. Over the years, he has served in various capacities, including Director of the Mining Cadastre, Director of Mines, Head of the Environmental Studies Division, and Head of the Quarries Monitoring and Control Division. Additionally, he has taken on extra responsibilities, acting as the focal point of the Intergovernmental Forum on Mining (IGF), representing intergovernmental consultations of UNEA resolution 5/12, and participating in the Interministerial Committee for bilateral cooperation agreements. His skills encompass mineral exploration, artisanal gold mining, contractual negotiations, and proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), alongside a strong foundation in geological disciplines such as tectonics, sedimentology, paleontology, and stratigraphy.
