Mariame – Yolande Bah is a Legal Counsel and the Regional Coordinator for North and Central Africa at the African Legal Support Facility (ALSF), a position she has held since 2019.
Before joining the ALSF, Ms. Bah worked in several law firms in Paris and New York, as well as for a non-profit organization. She gained experience in various areas, including corporate law, project finance, litigation, and international arbitration.
She has also developed specific expertise in natural resources and extractive industries (mining, oil, and gas), and currently advises African governments on the development and financing of such projects.
Ms. Bah studied law at the Panthéon-Assas University (Paris II) and holds a Master’s degree in International Business Law as well as a master’s degree in Private International Law and International Trade Law. She was admitted to the Paris Bar in 2015.
