Pierre Petit-De Pasquale

Pierre Petit-De Pasquale has over 13 years’ experience in the mining sector. First as a mining engineer specialized in drilling & blasting and technical optimization, he worked at dozens of mines, quarries, and construction sites across three continents. Since 2016, Pierre specialized in the social and environmental impacts of extractive value chains globally. He worked for 6 years at the Responsible Mining Foundation, as a Senior Researcher then as Head of Stakeholder Engagement, where he supported the development and application of pioneering methodologies and indicators for assessing corporate accountability and performance on socio-environmental and governance issues, and led strategic engagement and collaboration with mining companies, investors, communities, workers and unions, governments, standard setters, and other relevant stakeholders. Pierre has provided consultancy services and expertise to the Natural Resource Governance Institute, as well as to mining and downstream companies, NGOs, research and multi-lateral organizations. Since 2023, he is the Standards Director of IRMA, the Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance.
